My, what a busy few days it’s been!
Those of you who follow me on Twitter will know that I was planning to publish a review yesterday. Instead, you get this post – a little update. I hope that’s okay for now. Oh, and when I say “small”, I mean the length of this post. Personally, it’s quite a big update.
The thing is – I’m starting a new chapter. I’m moving. Again. For the fourth time in two years, I’m packing my bags and moving. Thankfully, it’s not as extreme as moving to the other side of the world like I did last year, but it is moving to the other side of the country.
You see, after six months of unemployment, I’ve finally got myself a job in an industry I’m very excited to be a part of – publishing! It’s an industry I never really considered before until very recently in the grand scheme of things, but it’s certainly an area which I’m sure I’ll learn a lot in.
The reason I’m moving is that, well, there aren’t many job opportunities in that field up here in the North of England. Thus, I’m becoming a Southerner and moving to Oxford.
I’m moving on Saturday. On Monday, I start my new job. Whether or not I’ll be as excited as Izumi from Move to the Future is something I don’t know, but I am quite happy with how everything has turned out! It’s happening very quickly and so I’m not too sure how much blogging I’ll be able to do for quite a while. I’ll be around on Twitter for sure, but I thought I’d make a post to explain why things may be a little quieter than usual.
I want to give myself enough time to settle in my new job and my new city, so I’ve started to prepare posts that I can schedule and leave be for now. The majority are going to be quite personal, but they’re going to be looking back at the last decade in terms of anime. I wasn’t going to do this, and I realise I’m somewhat late to the party, but it’s allowing me to be somewhat productive blog-wise whilst also giving myself leeway with moving.
The review that was meant to go up yesterday will be up this week. I just didn’t have time yesterday to embed pictures and tidy everything up.
Nonetheless, here’s to another chapter in life!
