Christmas and New Year celebrations mean I’m a little late to do this (again), but I’m so happy that we’ve (‘we’ being myself and this blog) had another great start to another year!

At the start of 2017, I was nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Yahari Bento – a completely unexpected award that I somehow got whilst being swamped in second year university work. Well, it’s happened again, guys. Five days ago I was nominated for another award! This time I’ve been nominated by Shaddowcat from Exploring Anime and Manga for the Unique Blogger Award!

Shaddowcat is definitely a blogger that you should check out too! They cover older and newer anime series, so if you want a variety, I definitely recommend them! (It’s thanks to them that I became interested in watching Alice in the Kingdom of Hearts!) Also, I’m speaking directly to Shaddowcat here – I’m so sorry for not following you back! I didn’t realise considering I check your blog on a regular basis anyway! D: That has definitely been amended now!

I don’t think you know how happy it makes me to receive things like this, so thank you Shaddowcat! ^_^

Shaddowcat left me some questions to answer, so let’s answer them now before I give out my own nominations!

1) If you could strike anything from existence; person, place or thing, what would it be?
This is quite the difficult question! Whew. I could be quite predictable and say ‘Donald Trump’ or, topically, ‘Logan Paul’, but there’s definitely things worse than them…believe it or not. I’m going to say that I would probably negativity. Let’s get rid of negativity completely. Whether that’s to do with laziness or difficulty with schoolwork or racism, sexism, homophobia… Let’s get rid of it, kill it, whatever. The world would definitely be a better place without it.

2) What’s the funniest New Year’s Resolution you’ve heard?
Good question. Again, a difficult one, but that’s probably because no-one I know really sticks to resolutions or they’re quite predictable like “I’m going to eat healthier” or “I’m going to stop smoking”. Yeaah…. No, I’m going to have to pass on this question, I’m afraid!

3) Who was your biggest hero growing up, not now unless it hasn’t changed, but when you were a kid?
Oh God. Is it bad that I can’t actually remember? I’m going to say Demi Lovato as she’s definitely the one person I can remember looking up to when I was younger (parents excluded). She was the one who inspired me to learn how to play guitar and do singing lessons during high school and really made me want to get into music. Of course, that didn’t really happen pass high school, but I just wanted to be Demi Lovato to the point where I had the exact same hair style she had when she played Mitchie in Camp Rock. She seemed really friendly and genuine and just an overall nice person. Heck, she still seems like that. I guess a little part of me still wants to be her.

I’m going to nominate some more members of our lovely community to receive this now! The rules state you have to nominate 8-13 blogs, so let’s have a go, shall we?

Moyatori from MoyatoriumI find great pleasure in reading their posts! From helping other members of the community out by sharing their posts, to writing their own fascinating articles on anime and even lyric translations, their blog is pretty unique!

ClarityRence from Part-Time Scribling – Although their blog isn’t as active as others, it still posesses some interesting articles. Personally, I love their post for Day 5 of #12DaysOfAnime – Let’s Watch An Anime Together.

MagicConan14 from The Animanga Spellbook – Another blogger that I discovered through #12DaysOfAnime, MagicConan is definitely a writer to look out for. I’m personally still going through their archives, but I do find their Ode to Anime Studios series interesting!

Jack Scheibelein from The AniWriter – I am so glad I’ve discovered Jack’s blog recently! A well-designed blog with plenty of content from everything anime related to Jack’s own creative writing, making this a pretty unique blog too!

Miguel from Kpop-Khop – If you’re wanting a blog on K-Pop or K-Dramas, I definitely recommend Miguel’s blog! It’s one of the only K-Pop blogs I actually follow and read, which definitely makes it unqiue in my reader!

Irina from I Drink and Watch Anime – Irina’s blog definitely doesn’t need an introduction, but I love the drinking games that they include – definitely must play one sometime! >:3

Carriage from A Carriage Return – Never have I seen an anime blogger as dedicated towards Love Live! Sunshine!! than Carriage. It’s definitely not a bad thing. I love their posts, as well as their simple but effective puns that they make every now and again.

Jack from anime, manga and music, oh my! – Jack has to be the most unique writer on this list in the sense of that he doesn’t blog all too often. However, saying that, he covers topics that are sometimes overlooked and his writing style is definitely one of my favourites.

  1. Display the award!
  2. Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog. (Try and include a little bit of promotion!)
  3. Answer the questions they’ve written for you!

#12DaysOfAnime(6)

Now that you’ve been nominated and have read the rules, I have some questions to ask you!

1) What was it that made you start blogging?
2) What do you do in your free time apart from blogging?
3) What are your blog goals for 2018?

Of course, as I always say, if you don’t want to participate – that’s okay! I just wanted to make sure that some of my favourite bloggers and newest discoveries were getting the attention that they deserve! <3 On the other hand, if I didn’t nominate you and you want to answer the questions, feel free to do so in the comments!

Until next time!

EDIT (22/1/18) – A typo made on MagicConan14’s username has now been fixed – sorry about that! o:

  1. Hey no worries on the not following back. I did the same thing to the person who tagged me for this too.

Oh, I have been slacking in reading kingdom hearts. You really became interested because of me? Wow!

    1. Yup! I had had my eye on it for a while, but I read the post in which you spoke about it and it made me want to read it more so! I still to need to start it, though…

  2. Congratulations. I’m sure you’ll get more nominations than you know what to do with soon. Thank you so much for the nomination – Can’t wait to get into these questions

  3. Congratulations on the award. I didn’t know I’d been nominated until the referrers section of my WordPress stats informed me of some link I didn’t know about…but I will get to it as soon as possible. Thank you for the nomination!
