It’s 2018! A new year means an awful lot of new anime to watch, with the Winter 2018 season the first new batch.

As with every season, I’m going to be sharing with you the shows that I’m watching this season, with a little synopsis of them. New this year, I’m also going to be telling you, where possible, where you can watch it for yourself if you’re interested in watching it too! Nothing more, nothing less.

I know, I need to finish 2017’s anime first. But that’s not realistically going to happen. I’ll get through them at my own pace – a quicker pace than usual due to me picking out less seasonal anime than I have been doing in previous editions of this. (See, I’m sticking to my blogging resolutions already!)

Enough chit-chatting. Let’s see what I’m going to be watching, shall we?

  1. Violet Evergarden reminds me a bit of Plastic Memories. Though a different premise, it certainly seems a series that it has some things in common with. As I really liked that series, I’m going to give this one a go. I hope you will have fun watching all these new animes 😀

    1. In the end, I didn’t much care for PlasMem… It tried so very hard, but kept falling short. It kept haring pointlessly all over the place. The final arc was pretty good, but it was a tough slog getting there. If Violet is exploring the same thematic space, I hope it does better.

      1. Haha, fair enough 😊 I really enjoyed Plaatic Memories. I loved the characters, and while it certainly had some flaws, won’t deny that, I still quite liked it in the end.
It will be interesting to see what this show is going to do. Hopefully you will enjoy that one more 😊

  2. Umm, where can i watch sanrio danshi? All I’m seeing is hunny and mori from ouran high school host club and mori is holding bun bun! Help me, I just finished the ouran manga and I’m suffering from serious withdrawl! I’m looking for a void filler for the hole it left in my heart when I finished it.

    1. I definitely get the Ouran comparison! OHSHC was my first anime and I’ve not really managed to fill the void yet – hopefully Sanrio Danshi can do that! ^^”

Sadly, I can’t currently find any streaming sites that have taken on Sanrio Danshi… in any region! I’m going to be keeping my eye out, but this might have to be an occasion that calls for a fansub. :c Of course, I may be wrong, and anyone is open to correct me, but I looked whilst writing the post and before I replied to this! I’ll let you know as soon as possible when I do find a legal streaming source, though!

      1. Yuss, I was meant to tell you but I’ve been really busy with university assignments recently so it sadly slipped my mind! D: I’m glad CR picked it up, though! I was getting a little concerned about it! ^^”

  3. I love your choices I’ve not had a good look at winter 2018 but violet evergarden hell to the yeh in that one haha. There is this one called Beatless I wanted to give a go about androids had a unique story.

    1. Beatless definitely looks interesting, but I don’t know whether I’d be interested or not… I’ll definitely keep an eye out for opinions on it, though! ^-^
