So, apparently hitting 100 WP followers and 100 blog posts in a single month wasn’t enough, huh? At the start of March, I also got nominated for another blog award!
Yup, that’s right. Sirius nominated me for the Real Neat Blog award and I’m genuinely super happy about it. (Not that you can tell from my, yet again, late response…) As with every one of these awards, I’m encouraged once again to try to improve the best I can, maintaining this blog as well as I possibly can. So, a very big thank you to Sirius for giving me a much-need boost in ego and encouragement. <3
If you don’t know who Sirius is, go and check out their blog here! They too recently hit 100 followers and I’m super glad as every time I read their content, it’s a breeze. I like the register they use in their writing and I like how they supply all the information for each series. Of course, these are just two reasons why I like their posts… You can find your own reasons whilst checking their blog out.
Anyway, on to the award itself.
Rules:
- Display the award logo.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog.
- Answer the questions given to you by the nominator.
- Nominate 5-10 bloggers.
- Ask them 7 questions.
Q & A Time!
What anime is your most guilty pleasure? Why?
Straight in with a tricky one, I see! Personally, I watch a lot a shows that I could class as a guilty pleasure… Idol Jihen from only a couple of seasons ago being one of them. Kore wa Zombie desu ka? is definitely another contender, but I’m going to have to answer with Hetalia. The entirety of Hetalia got me through my GCSEs and, to a certain extent, my A-Levels. Getting to university and navigating my way around various different series and genres meant that I eventually found new favourites and Hetalia took a step down. Or two. Or three. The point is, although it’s no longer my favourite show, Hetalia is definitely a guilty pleasure.
If you got a chance to be reincarnated, which era and what type/kind of person do you want to be?
This is a deep question. Wow. Personally, I’d love to be reincarnted into the past (because a quick Google search suggests that it is actually possible!). I’d love to check out the Tudors as, like, a servant in a castle or something. Or go to, like, Edo Japan or something. I guess I’ve been influenced too much by historical fiction…
What genre of anime do you hate the most?
Admittedly, there are a few genres of anime that I don’t particularly like, but (I’m going to cheat here slightly and say two) I am still adamant that ecchi and harem genres are probably some of the worst.
Do you follow any anime YouTubers? Who are they?
Ah, YouTubers… Admittedly, whilst wanting to branch out into videos myself, I have been trying to find anime YouTubers to watch. At the moment, I only watch a couple – The Anime Man, akidearest, Gigguk, Glass Reflection and, of course, fellow anime blogger, LitaKinoAnimeCorner! (As a side note, if anyone has any YouTuber recommendations, please leave them in the comments below!)
What anime/manga do you think fits better as a live-action movie/series?
Alrighty. Where to start here? I honestly think that a lot of shows could be better as a live-action series or movie. The series that have some sort of slice-of-life aspect, for example. Take shows like Dive!!, Tsuki ga Kirei or heck, even something like Devil is a Part-Timer where there is supernatural elements… I honestly think these would do brilliantly as live-actions, especially considering how live-action adaptations of anime haven’t done too badly lately.
Do you find Pop Team Epic, an ongoing anime series this Winter season, funny?
Short answer: no.
If you’re wanting a longer answer, I’m actually considering doing a blog post on this. Let me know if any of you are interested!
If you were given the chance to reboot/remake an anime series, what would it be?
It’d have to be Ouran High School Host Club. We need the actual ending adapted into anime. Bones, I’m looking at you. Please?
Now, to nominate 5-10 bloggers to receive this award too! I always find this the hardest thing to do with these awards, but I feel like the following people need some recognition for their efforts:
All of these nominations have been nominated for a variety of reasons. Whether it was for their style of writing, their dedication to blogging or for the enjoyment of reading their posts, all of these definitely deserved to be recognised for their contributions. Of course, if you have been nominated, I’m not going to be forcing you to answer these questions, but I have tagged you all to notify you that I think, personally, your content is great!
If you are up for the challenge, though, here are your questions!
- If you could recommend me one album, what would it be and why?
- If you could transform into any animal, what would it be and why?
- Do you play any video games? If so, what is your favourite?
- Do you cook for yourself? If so, what is your favourite recipe?
- In your opinion, what is a must-read manga?
- What are you looking forward to watching from the Spring 2018 season?
- Who is your favourite anime protagonist?
This is so exciting! I love doing these types of posts, and I can’t wait to find out more about the bloggers I’ve nominated (if they do decided to participate!). Hopefully, you’ve found a new blogger to check out as well!
Anyway, that’s all for this post! I’ll be around with some more content soon once this dissertation presentation is out-of-the-way…
Until next time!

I do want a longer answer!
Make that two of us!
Looks like I’ll be writing that soon, then… :’)
I’m telling ya guys , they’re picking all the wrong animes for Live Action adaptations!! I could see all of Naoki Urasawa s work turned into live action TV adaptations, same thing with Vinland Saga , darker than black , we already have Pacific Rim I could see Gundam turned into a TV series and Black Lagoon.
I know name recognition is a big thing when you’re thinking about the consumer base your marketing the product words but when you want to make a fantastic live action adaptation one of these will definitely be a hit if adapted properly
thanks for the nomination~ 😘
