It’s that time of year again – A Girl & Her Anime is celebrating another birthday!

I honestly cannot believe I’ve managed to commit to this for two years. It’s been tough at times, but it has most definitely been my outlet over the past two years. It’s been my little space on the Internet that keeps growing and growing and I’m always super happy when I reach even the smallest of milestones.

Over the past year, since the blog’s first anniversary, I’ve attempted writing about video  games and music, had a go at writing full-blown editorials, participated in collaborations with companies, had people guest-writing on my blog, I’ve entered the realm of manga more so than I had done previously and I’ve proven that I can in fact blog every day for two weeks. I’ve managed to do all of this whilst balancing university life.

I’ve not achieved as much as some people, of course not, but I’m content with what I have achieved, particularly when considering I’ve had my final year to contend with as well. I also know for a fact that this past year won’t be the hardest. (I’ll explain why this is as soon as I have more information myself.)

In order to celebrate AG&HA turning 2, I’m going to be releasing blog posts every day for the next week, starting from May 17th.

“But, Amelia, why May 17th?” I hear you ask. “That’s 15 days away!”

And the answer to that is very simple. I have a dissertation to write that’s due on the 16th and, whilst I’d love to be able to just sit down and write posts about anime this week, my dissertation ultimately has to come first.

I would, however, like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for reading my posts, for liking them, for commenting on them, for following me on social media… Without you, I probably wouldn’t have committed to blogging like I have and I probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you so much.

Here’s to the next year!

  1. Congratulations on hitting that 2 year milestone!

Looking forward to your content. But do take care of your studies first and foremost, okay? Good luck!
