Who would have thought it? The chance to build my very own anime harem? I’ll happily accept this challenge!

I was tagged by my lovely friend Molly over at Ahoge Girl to do this tag, so how could I possibly resist? I love a good tag/challenge, so thank you so much for tagging me! Make sure you check out their post and blog if you haven’t already!

But what is this tag all about? It’s time to consult the rules!

Rules

  1. Link back to the original post.
  2. Use the Build a Harem Tag logo in your post.
  3. Thank the person who nominated you.
  4. Pick 5 anime characters (any show and any gender) that would be in your harem if you were in a harem anime. Explain (if you want) why you chose them.
  5. Make sure each character you pick falls into some of the following harem character types: Childhood friend, tom boy/girl, genki girl/boy, loli/shota, trap, tsundere, yandere, kuudere, dandere, etc. (If there’s a character you’ve picked that doesn’t specifically fall into one of these types or falls into multiple types that’s fine too!)
  6. Nominate 5 people to continue the tag!

Easy enough.

For those who don’t know, this tag was all started by Cactus Matt whose posts I always enjoy reading! You can check out the original post here!

So, without further ado… Let’s begin! (I really wish I had some theme music here…)

The Childhood Friend: Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Winry just had to be on this list! She’s arguably one of the most caring people in anime, what with her love for both Ed and Al and her determination to keep their automail intact and in working condition. She’s strong-willed and not afraid to speak her mind, which is something admirable in itself. There’s probably so, so much more I could say about her, for her character is probably developed more in Brotherhood than the original series, but being only ten episodes in myself, I don’t want to be making too many assumptions about her just yet!

The Tsundere: Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket)
Probably one of the first ever tsundere characters I met in anime, Kyo has to really get a place here. He’s honestly one of the least annoying tsunderes around and his passion can clearly be seen from a mile off – his facade isn’t the greatest, bless him. Of course, the people around think otherwise, but I think he’s an absolute cutie who deserves more credit.

The Yandere: Belarus (Hetalia)
Anyone who knows me should have guessed that Hetalia was going to show up at some point annnd anyone who I’ve spoken to recently on Discord should recognise this face! Recently I’ve had a bit of a new-found love for Belarus. She’s absolutely beautiful, but her intimidating harshness at times often pushes people away… Not to mention her infatuation with her brother Russia, of course, which is a shame because there is so much more to Belarus than these yandere layers.

The Oujidere: Austria (Hetalia)
Okay, no more Hetalia after this one, but I couldn’t really have not put my husband in my harem, right? Although he doesn’t entirely fit the definition of an oujidere, Austria certainly acts like royalty. He puts more time and effort into his hobbies than his work, but he definitely makes up for this by being a fine musician, particularly on the piano. Also, his lack of a sense of direction and his phobia of marine animals means that I’d be the one to look after him rather than the other way around… Adds a little bit of difference to the harem!

The Class Rep: Chizuru Hishiro (ReLIFE)
Chizuru is far from perfect, we all know that. She’s awfull shy, but that’s what makes her her! It’s all part of her charm. And, well, she’s just full of little surprises that makes me automatically fill up with happiness. Chizuru is extremely intelligent and yet so humble and that adds some well-needed charm to this harem.

Welp, that’s it! That’s my harem. Of course, these characters are perhaps not my favourite in a franchise or show, but I’ve attempted to add some characters who I don’t usually talk about or who I think deserve some more love.

As for tagging people, I have no idea who to tag, so I apologise if you’ve already been tagged thousands of times or if you don’t want to do it. I’ve tried to make sure you guys haven’t already done it, but if you have, just let me know!

That being said, I tag the amazing people behind the following blogs:

  1. LitaKinoAnimeCorner
  2. Keiko’s Anime Blog
  3. Ka-chan Anime Reviews
  4. When Sirius Writes
  5. BlazTavern

Again, apologies if you’ve already been tagged etc. etc.

So, what would your harem look like? Let me know in the comment section below!

Until next time!
