It may sound like some sort of cult, but I’m so glad that I’ve been nominated for an award! Particularly this one… It really does feel like it’s one that brings the community together, no?
Anyway, I love doing these sort of posts. So when Rayz over at mirrorpurple nominated me, I was super happy! I feel like these posts really do allow you to get to know bloggers in a way you wouldn’t normally by simply reading reviews, so not only do I love writing them, I love reading as many as I can!
So, with that being said, what are the rules of this award?
- Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
- Answer the questions sent to you.
- Nominate around 10 bloggers.
- Create your own set of questions for your nominees and display the rules.
If it wasn’t already clear, I’m happy that I got nominated – it shows I must be doing something right – so a huge thank you goes to Rayz! I’ve appreciated his work since the start of my own blogging journey, so if you haven’t already (and I’d be surprised if you haven’t) you should probably go check out his content here!
Now, the question is, what did he want to know, hm?
What position do you sleep in? Fetal? On your back? On your stomach?
I usually sleep in a fetal position, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I slept in other positions during the night. I move around too much to just stay in one position all night. I suppose it depends on the situation, as weird as that may sound? Although, I’ll never sleep on my stomach. That’s way too uncomfortable.
Are bedtime stories effective to make people go to sleep?
The short answer I have for this is: I don’t know. I suppose it depends on the person. For example, I can’t really remember having bedtime stories read to me as a child except for on Christmas Eve when my mum would read The Night Before Christmas to me. Of course, I’m not saying I didn’t get read to, because I probably did. I just can’t remember it. I used to read on a nightly basis when I was younger too, so I guess it did work to a certain extent. Nowadays I don’t particularly read on a night, but lately, I have been watching anime before bed. At the moment it’s usually a couple of episodes of a series followed by a few episodes of Aggressive Retsuko – the original OVA. So, I guess, in a way, it’s still a bedtime story or two… Right?
Longest ever flight?
The longest flight I’ve ever been on is from Manchester (UK) to Phuket (Thailand). There was a connection to be made at Abu Dhabi, but it was still over 15 hours of travelling…
Best snacks for anime/drama/movie marathons?
The best snacks for an anime marathon has to be Cool Original Doritos or Walker’s Smoky Bacon crisps with a load of Cadbury’s chocolate (or Galaxy, I’m not fussy) and a bottle of Ribena. That sounds oddly specific, but after three years of anime marathons with friends, it’s definitely my recipe for a good time! As for a drama or movie marathon, you just have to have some popcorn, preferably the toffee sort.
This is making me want to watch some dramas now…
Now it’s time to nominate some people to also get these award! It may not be ten, but I’ll certainly try to get there!
- Otaku Orbit
- I drink and watch anime
- Strange Girl Gaming
- Hermit Odysseus
And, for you lovely people, my questions are:
- What is the first anime you’ve watched and why?
- Could you recommend a movie? (Doesn’t have to be anime!)
- Favourite song/album/artist at the moment?
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Of course, as always, don’t feel obliged to participate! It was awfully hard to choose people as I know a lot of nominations for this award have been given out already! I just wanted you to know that your work is definitely appreciated – keep it up, okay?~
Until next time!
