I am quite late with this post, there’s no denying it, but things have been pretty hectic for me lately, so is it any wonder, really?
This season, for me, will probably work like the last, where I explicitly said I wouldn’t be watching any seasonal anime. Last season, it was mostly due to finishing university, graduating and getting ready to start working. For this season, my reasoning is just the mere fact I don’t really have the time to keep up with seasonal anime. And regional differences.
Regardless, what has caught my eye for this season?
Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara – Drama, Magic, Romance
Set in the city of Nagasaki, the story takes place in a world where a miniscule amount of magic remains in everyday life. Hitomi Tsukishiro is a 17-year-old descendant of a witch family who grew up with stale emotions, as she lost her sense of color at a very young age. Feeling sorry for her granddaughter’s future, Kohaku, a great witch, sends Hitomi to past, the year 2018. Through exchanges with her 17-year-old grandmother and her club members, the story follows Hitomi’s growth as a person.
Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara will be available to stream on Amazon Prime.
Yagate Kimi ni Naru – School, Shoujo Ai
Yuu has always loved shoujo manga and awaits the day she gets a love confession that sends her heart aflutter with bubbles and blushes, and yet when a junior high classmate confesses his feelings to her…she feels nothing. Disappointed and confused, Yuu enters high school still unsure how to respond. That’s when Yuu sees the beautiful student council president Nanami turn down a suitor with such maturity that she’s inspired to ask her for help. But when the next person to confess to Yuu is Nanami herself, has her shoujo romance finally begun?
Yagate Kimi ni Naru will be available to stream on Anime Digital Network (France) and on HIDIVE.
Ulysses: Jehanne Darc to Renkin no Kishi – Action, Fantasy
The story is set in the 15th century, during the Hundred Years’ War between France and England over the succession to the French throne. Montmorency, the son of a noble, immerses himself in the studies of magic and alchemy at a royal knight training school. However, following France’s crushing defeat at Agincourt, the school is dissolved. Having lost everything and now a wanted man, Montmorency, who had just become an alchemist, encounters a mysterious village girl named Jehanne.
Ulysses: Jehanne Darc to Renkin no Kishi will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
Hinomaruzumou – Martial Arts, Shounen, Sports
A “small” new student, Ushio Hinomaru, appears before the weak little sumo club of Oodachi High School! The words “big” and “heavy” are the rules to this sport, which does not fit this newbie any inch, but this guy goes and does what…?! Ushio and the small sumo club climbs its way to the top!
At the time of writing, there are no confirmed streams for Hinomaruzumou.
Sono Toki, Kanojo wa. – Drama, Romance
The anime will follow the love lives of four female protagonists as high school students, college students, and as working adults.
At the time of writing, there are no confirmed streams for Sono Toki, Kanojo wa.
And finally, a rather last minute addition to this post, thanks to the amount of praise I’ve seen for the show, is…
Zombieland Saga – Action, Horror, Supernatural
The usual mornings. The usual music. The usual self. For seven girls, a peaceful life was all of a sudden destroyed. All at the hands of zombies, dead things that somehow remained moving. Now they step into a new world, whether they liked it or not. A “zombieworld” that represented both the best and the worst. The seven girls had only one wish: “We want to live.”
Zombieland Saga is available to stream on Crunchyroll (excluding AUS).
As well as these shows, I will personally be looking forward to Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara Episode 14 and the Koi to Uso OVA, in hopes of getting some conclusions and seeing what actually happens. (Please, let it be an actual ending and not just a fanservice OVA…)
But, what about you guys? What are you looking forward to this season? Let me know in the comment section below!
Until next time!

Run with the Wind was the only one that jumped out at me so far. I’ve been giving a lot of different shows a try.
I have reserved tomorrow morning to watch a few of the new shows, and I have hear some good things about Zombieland saga, so I think that one might be the first show I will give a go 😊
