This season, for me, will probably work like the last, where I explicitly said I wouldn't be watching any seasonal anime. Last season, it was mostly due to finishing university, graduating and getting ready to start working. For this season, my reasoning is just the mere fact I don't really have the time to keep up with seasonal anime. And regional differences.
Summer 2018: Was I Right?
Now that the Summer 2018 season is finally over, it's time to see how accurate I actually was in my picks. I'm going to be going through reviews and looking at scores and statistics in order to get an overview on the anime I selected in my What To Watch post and see how accurate I was in my predictions.
High School Students in Love: Konbini Kareshi Review
I really do hate it when an anime seems so promising and then it's just not what you expected at all. I've said this a couple of times recently, but I think this show is probably the best example of it yet...
Not As Complicated As First Thought: Koi to Uso Review
I personally really enjoy a romance, particularly those which don't follow the more conventional route. Koi to Uso, also known as Love and Lies, is set in a Japanese society somewhere in the future. In this society, a rather complex match-making system has been implemented in order to encourage successful marriages and combat low birthrates.
A Rollercoaster of Emotions: Kuzu no Honkai Review
Watching drama is what I enjoy doing the most and, well, Kuzu no Honkai - otherwise known as Scum's Wish - is an anime that delivers the dramatic rollercoaster that is unrequited love and, undoubtedly, takes it to the next level. I certainly didn't mean to be hypocritical in this review, but the show is that complex that it's hard not to be.
Wholesome First Loves: Tsurezure Children Review
This will only be a brief review, but it's been one that should have appeared on this blog a long time ago. I first wrote about this show and the awkward high school crushes over a year ago, after all. Did I end up liking the show, though?
As Pretty As The Flowers: Asagao to Kase-san Review
It's quite rare to come across one, but sometimes you stumble an absolute masterpiece. For me, personally, this has taken quite a while to find, but at last - here it is, in the form of a beautiful romance. If you're wanting a cute romance story that covers the theme of LGBT relationships, I'm yet to see a better example than this.
3 Romance Anime That You’ll Love || Anime For All
Romance is an aspect of most anime no matter what their primary genre is, so it took a fairly long think about what to include in this edition of Aime for All! Nevertheless, romance is one of my favourite genres to watch, so it was quite pleasant to search for the perfect trio to share!
A Match Made in Heaven?: Masamune-kun no Revenge Review
Don't get me wrong, the story itself is pretty good. This is certainly not your typical harem show by any means, for the show isn't all too predictable and does contain some welcomed plot twists. For the most part, the story was paced at an acceptable speed, but I do think that some elements of the story weren't exactly needed.
Summer 2018: What To Watch
I'm arguably a little late on this for the Summer 2018 season has already started, but it's time for me to share my latest seasonal anime recommendations. So, what has caught my eye for this season?
