I'm pretty sure we all have a list like this - a list of the shows that we have absolutely hated. I realise I can be quite pessimistic about shows anyway, but this is a list of shows that I absolutely do not want to revisit. Often, it's also a list of shows that I don't even want to talk about, meaning this is a somewhat rare chance to delve into the bottom of the barrel.
Back to the Stone Age: Dr. Stone First Impressions
The first few weeks of the Summer 2019 season are now over, so it's time for me to give you guys my opinions so far. Today, I'm going to be talking about Dr. Stone - the sci-fi adventure series by TMS Entertainment.
Summer 2019: What am I watching?
It’s that time of the season again where we all take a look at the upcoming seasonal anime and pick what we’ll be watching! I realise I only made a return to seasonal anime a couple of seasons ago with The Promised Neverland, but I think I’m going to adjust my approach once again.
Androids Have Feelings Too!: Eve no Jikan Review
Now, we like to discuss anime with important themes and messages here at A Girl & Her Anime. In the past, discussions on gender equality have come up thanks to Aggretsuko, the inclusion of LGBT relationships in Asagao to Kase-san and now it's time for the discussion of perhaps the more broad topic of discrimination. Broad, maybe, but still just as important, for this is still, unfortunately, an issue that's relevant for today's society for many different people. Eve no Jikan focuses on the more subtle types of discrimination.
Vampires, Phantoms and More: Vampire Hunter D (1985) Review
I always get a little nervous when beginning to review a movie and this one is no different. I really do hope that I can give it the recognition it deserves, particularly as a cult classic. I knew it should be a film that I would like, but I never expected to be so drawn into a story, so drawn into the film, as quickly as I have been.
Summer 2018: Was I Right?
Now that the Summer 2018 season is finally over, it's time to see how accurate I actually was in my picks. I'm going to be going through reviews and looking at scores and statistics in order to get an overview on the anime I selected in my What To Watch post and see how accurate I was in my predictions.
Summer 2018: What To Watch
I'm arguably a little late on this for the Summer 2018 season has already started, but it's time for me to share my latest seasonal anime recommendations. So, what has caught my eye for this season?
Spring 2018: Am I Still Watching?
It's that time of the season where I reflect on the shows I began watching this season! I thought Winter 2018 had gone quick, but Spring seems to have gone a lot quicker? Not only that, but I've actually managed to stay up-to-date with some series! (Makes a change, huh?)
When Anime Gets Weird: Genius Party Review
Creativity is, of course, subjective. What makes something a masterpiece to someone, may be a weird artsy disaster for someone else. If a single collection of anime was to make this divide apparent - it's Genius Party.
