I know, I need to finish 2017's anime first. But that's not realistically going to happen. I'll get through them at my own pace - a quicker pace than usual due to me picking out less seasonal anime than I have been doing in previous editions of this. The Gods Lie. follows the story of eleven year old Natsuru Nanao - a young boy who loves to play football and finds it awkward to talk to girls. One day, his female classmate named Rio Suzumura approaches him and he immediately becomes intrigued in her. It was drawn, as well as written, by Kaori Ozaki whose other works have include Knife and Immortal Rain.
